Valrhona created Caramélia to make irresistible caramel center stage in great chocolate. Unlike caramel-flavored milk chocolates, Valrhona created an outstanding creamy texture by making real caramel, crafted from skim milk and butter, the main ingredient. It took many delicious experiments in the test kitchen and several years of research to engineer a reproducible recipe for large-scale production.
